Welcome!
We are the Central Texas Trail Tamers...a group of ready volunteers from the general public throughout Texas and beyond who donate our time and effort to build and repair natural surface trails, including those that are ADA accessible.
Visit the website calendar to learn about upcoming projects, or hike your mouse over to the Trail Tamer Blog to learn about recent trips and read some of our interesting, and often humorous, project reports.
Trail Construction and Maintenance Notebook
We also want to encourage you to learn more about trail construction and maintenance before you go to your first work day. The U.S. Forest Service, in cooperation with the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, has made the 2007 edition of the Trail Construction and Maintenance Notebook available for download at the following website:

(A mighty fine bunch of Trail Tamers)
Join us and help celebrate our 20th year of trail taming! We enjoy what we do and we share a proud sense of accomplishment for the hard work we've done. Plus, our work is appreciated & sought after by numerous agencies that oversee our public lands, so we would like to invite you sign up soon for one or more of our events. There is a $25 annual membership fee (effective 1/16/13) and no experience is necessary....just a willingness to help!
