On Saturday, September 26, Balcones Cayonlands National Wildlife Refuge invites adults to volunteer for a trail maintenance project at Doeskin Ranch. Work will begin at 8:45AM and will conclude around 1:30PM.
We need folks over 18 years old who are able to use hand tools to perform general trail maintenance, remove vegetation, and construct some rock work. The Central Texas Trail Tamers will supervise and instruct volunteers on what to do and how to use the tools.
A free BBQ lunch is provided. Some water and drinks will be available. However, you should bring your own drinking containers. Also, be sure to bring your sun block, sturdy outdoor footwear and a hat!
Please call Rob Iski at (512) 339-9432, ext. 70 by September 18 if you would like to volunteer. By calling in advance, we'll know how much food and drink to order for lunch! |

| Directions: |
The entrance to Doe Skin Ranch is on FM 1174, approximately 5 miles from FM 1431. If coming from Lago Vista, head west for about 13 miles until you come to FM 1174. Turn right on 1174 and go about 5 miles. The entrance is on the right.
If coming from Marble Falls, travel about 11 miles then turn left on FM 1174 and go about 5 miles to the Doe Skin entrance.
